When you play an RPG, your eyes are put under extreme strain, which can lead to eye strain.

With some RPGs, you may have trouble sleeping due to the blue light and stress you may encounter.

On some RPGs, regardless of the platform, we have to use our hands often, whether with clicks if you use a mouse, or with quick movements with a controller.

A large part of the RPGs require a lot of concentration, cold blood, which is very tiring.

RPGs, what are they?

The “Role Playing Game” (RPG) refers to a type of adventure video game. The expression is adapted from the tabletop role-playing game from which the RPG is largely inspired. Their principles are identical since these games allow the participant to embody one or more characters during a quest that will make him evolve.

Role-playing video games, like their paper counterparts, are games in which characters act in space using their own characteristics rather than those of the player. The player’s role is to embody the character and their goals, acting on various elements through dialogue and other interactions, much like video game avatars should act on set elements. Any video game is a role-playing game if it is simply a question of embodying a character in an environment.
In our repertoire of cosmic interactions, we find traits common to many video games, battles or conflicts. Due to the nature of role-playing games, which aim to eliminate player abilities as much as possible and match them to character abilities, the combat system towards this goal was found to be turn-based. The players define the behavior of the character at any given time, and it is the character who acts in the world. It’s his character, not the player, who takes aim and pulls the trigger at the right time. To make it more dynamic, some editors and programmers have integrated real-time battles. Next, let’s talk about action role-playing games.

The goal is to make the player as immersive as possible. You will be able to put yourself in the shoes of your character through a game system that must be coherent, if not realistic. As such, factors such as what a character can carry, how much weight they can carry, and even whether their avatar can interact with items are tied to character traits, not just player behavior.
Another characteristic of role-playing games is the possibility of developing a character embodied by the player. These evolutions can occur after more or less complex tests to develop such or such characteristic. In many role-playing games, the right to progress is granted by a pool of experience points. As experience points accumulate, you get a certain number of evolution points. These points are distributed by the player or automatically to the different abilities of the character (strength, agility, endurance, intelligence, luck, etc.). Some RPGs use an interface called a skill tree to unlock different abilities for the controlled character. Another way to advance is to acquire more powerful equipment such as weapons, armor, potions, spells, keys and amulets. The management of acquired objects is done through an inventory.
