What is a food supplement?

Dietary supplements are concentrated sources of vitamins, proteins, essential fatty acids, minerals and natural plant extracts with proven nutritional or physiological effects, which are delivered to the body in the form of “doses” (for example, pills, tablets, capsules, liquids in measured doses).

Are dietary supplements drugs?

Dietary supplements are not drugs. They are intended to correct nutritional deficiencies, maintain an adequate supply of certain nutrients or support certain physiological functions.

They cannot therefore exert a pharmacological action and are not intended to treat diseases in humans or to modify physiological functions.

Harmonized legislation at European level regulates the ingredients that can be used in the manufacture of food supplements. The European Commission has established harmonized rules to protect consumers against potential health risks and maintains a list of substances which are known or suspected to have adverse health effects and whose use is therefore controlled. This is how we scrupulously respect the French and European legislation in force and all our food supplement products are therefore registered with the DGCCRF.

Are dietary supplements necessary?

As part of a balanced and varied diet, a healthy lifestyle and regular physical activity, food supplements are not necessary but only recommended in certain cases.

Nowadays, sedentary and digital lifestyles can impact the body at different levels: sleep, vision fatigue, stress, nutrition, concentration, muscle and joint pain, etc.

Food supplements can help reduce the risk of problems related to these lifestyles appearing, while respecting the recommended daily doses.

Are there any risks associated with taking dietary supplements?

Our food supplements contain physiological doses for each ingredient and scrupulously respect the daily doses recommended by health authorities. Thus our food supplements do not represent any health risk if we respect the dosages, indications and recommendations mentioned on our packaging.

In general, here are some tips to follow for safe consumption of food supplements:

  • Respect the dosage mentioned on the packaging;
  • Respect the conditions of use and the contraindications mentioned on the packaging;
  • Stop taking the food supplement in case of intolerance noted after several days of taking the product, and contact us to let us know
  • If taking medication simultaneously, seek the advice of a healthcare professional;

How to take dietary supplements?

It is important to respect the dosage and the recommendations indicated on the packaging for each food supplement.

The doses for our range of 6 food supplements range from 1 to 2 capsules per day for a cure of 2 to 3 months, to be repeated as many times as necessary.

Our food supplements can be taken all year round without interruption, without risk of addiction or overdose.
